This month’s theme was Halloween/Fall & Sequins. I had fun making this fall themed card. Since I am helping my grandkids with their distance learning, my crafting time has been greatly limited so I decided to use some patterned paper for this card.
I went to my local Michael’s store and bought a few paper pads that I knew I could use for fall and Halloween cards. I decided to make a fall card since I’m sure I will work on Halloween cards next month. I began by using a fall themed patterned paper for my main panel. I added a strip of gold/green pattered paper to the panel. I pulled out a sentiment stamp by Newton’s Nook Design (Fall-Ing for You) and stamped and embossed it on some white card stock using Distress Oxide Ink (Vintage Photo) and Simon Says Stamp clear embossing powder. I then added some of the same Distress Oxide Ink around the edges to give it a distressed look. I attached the sentiment to the panel using Simon Says Stamp foam tape. I then pulled out some sequins I had in my stash (I think they are old Doodlebug sequins) and attached them to the panel using Art Glitter Glue. I used my AGT tape to layer the panel on some sand colored card stock and then layered that onto some dark brown card stock from my stash. I’m very ready for fall and hopeful that this change of season will bring more positive changes to our world.
