Día De Los Muertos

I decided to make a couple of different cards, just to give myself a break from Halloween and Christmas card making for a moment. I found this beautiful “Día De Los Muertos” paper pad at Michael’s a couple of weeks ago and decided it was time to put it to use. I chose to use a couple of the bright and colorful papers to make two “Thinking of You” cards.

Día De Los Muertos (Day of the Dead) is a time to celebrate, honor and remember those that have passed on before us, so I thought making “Thinking of You” cards would be appropriate.

I made these two cards using only patterned paper from the “Día De Los Muertos” paper pad and a couple of stamp sets by Simon Says Stamp (Beautiful Day and Big U Words) for the sentiments. I also used some Recollections pink cardstock and black cardstock from my stash. These cards came together fairly quickly and I was happy with how they turned out. Let me know if and how you celebrate Día De Los Muertos. Thank you for continuing to follow along on my ever changing crafty venture.
