Playing with Circles

As you may already know, my stash of birthday cards has been depleted so I chose to make another birthday card to add to my pile. I pulled out a couple of items I purchased from Simon Says Stamp during Stamptember. I was going to use the stencil and stamp set, but ultimately decided to stick with just using the stencil. The rainbow of circles was just too pretty to cover up. I will use the stamp set on another card and share on my Instagram account.

I made this card using the “In The Round” stencil by Simon Says Stamp and my Ranger Distress Ink cubes (Picked Raspberry, Candied Apple, Carved Pumpkin, Squeezed Lemonade, Twisted Citron, Mermaid Lagoon and Wilted Violet). Once I was done blending colors, I trimmed the panel and matted it on some black cardstock by Recollections. I used the “Sentiment Strips Birthday” by Simon Says Stamp to add the sentiment to the card. I had put off buying these preprinted sentiments for so long and now I don’t know why I waited. Using the preprinted sentiments helped me to make this card in less than 20 minutes. After I added the sentiment, I decided the card needed a little extra touch of sparkle so I added a few clear drops by Studio Katia. At this point, my card panel was complete so I put it on a card base and added a sentiment to the inside of the card. I think I am going to make a few more of these to add to my birthday card stash. Thank you for supporting me and helping me grow as I practice being creative!
