This month’s theme was Thankful and/or Foil/Shiny Element. I waited as long as I could to make this card because I was waiting for my order of Gina K. inks (full set) to arrive. Unfortunately, my order was delayed (by the post office, not Gina K.) so I went ahead and made this card using what I already had.
I used a card base that was sent to me by a crafty friend in a recent swap we did in our group (Handmade Happiness). I pulled out the “Ornate Leaves” stamp set by Simon Says stamp and used fall-ish colored ink cubes by My Favorite Things. Once I stamped the images on the card base, I pulled out the “Thank You Layered” die by Paper Roses and cut the shadow layer using some velum I had in my stash and the sentiment layer from some copper paper by Tim Holtz. I then pulled out the preprinted thank you sentiments also from Simon Says stamp and ink blended with copper ink by Delicata. It is difficult to get in the fall mood here in San Diego because it is basically summer all year, but I pretended I was in another part of the country where the leaves actually do change colors. Finally, I attached the die cut sentiment and the sentiment strip to the panel using Art Glitter Glue. Thank you to all the creators who continue to support and inspire me to be a better, more creative version of myself!
