Veterans Day Card

Today I decided to make a patriotic card in honor of all the veterans who have risked their lives for our freedom. As the daughter of a WWII Veteran and the mother of a US Marine Veteran, I am so very proud of all the men and women who have served and continue to serve our great nation. Thank a veteran today šŸ˜‰

I used a “Patriotic Picnic” patterned paper by Doodlebug for the panel of this card. I stamped images from the “Band Camp” stamp set by Simon Says Stamp and colored them using my Copic markers. Once the images were all colored, I cut them using the coordinating die cuts and my Genini Junior. I am patiently waiting the for the Magic Mat (Scrapbook.com) to be restocked so I can order one (or two) for my machines. Once the images were cut out, I layered some strips of patterned paper onto the star patterned paper panel. From there, I heat embossed the sentiment from the “For the Boys” stamp set by My Favorite Things. I then placed the sentiment on some foam tape by Simon Says Stamp and then put one image on each side of the sentiment as though they are holding up a banner.

I could have been done with the card at this point, but decided to add a sentiment and image to the inside of the card as well. I think that gives this card the finishing touch. I had fun making this card, even though I did record, edit and upload the video all in one morning. Good thing I had the day off from work!

Thank you for supporting me and helping me grow as I continue my creative (and fun) journey. Thank you to all the other creators who continue to inspire and motivate me. Thank you to all our veterans for their sacrifice and dedication.

I hope you are able to visit my YouTube Channel and maybe even subscribe. Thanks for spending some of your time with me. Have a fun, safe and creative day!!
